MG 07 electric sedan opens pre‑orders in China, 21,000 bookings in 20 hours
Chinese automaker MG launched pre‑orders for the MG 07, a five‑door fast‑back electric sedan, on 29 July 2026. The launch attracted more than 21,000 reservations within the first 20 hours, far exceeding the earlier MG 4 Urban response. The model is offered in five trims, with a base 650 km CLTC range version priced at 125,900 yuan and top‑spec 845 km versions priced up to 168,900 yuan.
The MG 07 features a 67 kWh semi‑solid‑state battery in the base trim and a 91 kWh NMC battery from CATL in the top variants, both on an 800‑V architecture capable of 5C fast charging (30‑80 % in 12 minutes). It is the first SAIC‑group brand to use Momenta’s R7 driver‑assist system with a LiDAR sensor and 11 cameras, and includes active electromagnetic suspension (mCDC). Power output reaches 235 kW (315 hp) with 0‑100 km/h acceleration in 5.9 seconds.
