MG Motor expands electric lineup with Brazil MG4 Urban launch and MG2 concept teaser

MG Motor introduced the MG4 Urban in Brazil, offering a compact hatch priced at R$ 129,990 with a 299 km range (Inmetro cycle). The vehicle targets urban commuters with a 4.39 m length, 477 L trunk, and fast charging that raises the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. The launch adds three trim levels – Comfort, Luxury (R$ 139,990) and a top‑line Luxury with a larger 54 kWh battery (R$ 149,990) – and reflects the brand’s strategy to democratise electric mobility in the Brazilian market.

Separately, MG unveiled teaser images of a forthcoming concept that foreshadows the MG2 compact electric hatch, slated to appear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2026. The design features oval LED daytime running lights, a clean front bumper, vertical rear lamps echoing the English flag, and a modest roof‑line. The production version is expected around mid‑2027, positioned below the MG4, and priced near €20,000, targeting the sub‑€20k B‑segment market.
