MG Motor launches MG4 Urban Comfort in Brazil at R$129,990
MG Motor introduced the MG4 Urban electric compact to the Brazilian market, offering the Comfort trim at a starting price of R$129,990. The model measures 4.39 m long, 1.84 m wide and 1.54 m high, with a 2.75 m wheelbase and a 477‑litre trunk. Two battery sizes are available: a 43 kWh pack for the entry version and a 54 kWh pack for the top‑end model, delivering 150 hp (Comfort) and 163 hp (Luxury) with 25.5 kg fm of torque. Official Inmetro range estimates are 299 km for the 42.8 kWh battery and 358 km for the 54 kWh pack, and DC fast charging can raise the state of charge from 10 % to 80 % in about 28‑30 minutes.
A comparative analysis notes that the MG4 Urban Comfort outperforms the Geely EX2 Max on price, range (299 km vs 289 km), and charging power (11 kW AC/82 kW DC vs 6.6 kW AC/70 kW DC). The Geely EX2 Max is priced at R$136,800. Both vehicles are slated for local production later in the year—Geely will use Renault’s plant in Paraná while MG plans production at the Pace factory in Ceará—but are currently imported from China.
