MG Motor Philippines debuts the all-new S5 EV compact SUV

MG Motor Philippines has officially launched the 2027 MG S5 EV, an all-electric compact SUV, as part of its Multiply Greatness Tour 2026. The vehicle makes its Philippine debut at the Trinoma Activity Center.

The S5 EV features a rear-wheel-drive configuration, producing 168hp of peak power and 250Nm of torque from a permanent-magnet synchronous motor. It is equipped with a 49kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that offers a 415km NEDC range. The battery supports 120kW DC fast charging, allowing a charge from 10% to 90% in approximately 24 minutes.

Key interior features include a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12.8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a minimalist design that retains physical buttons for climate control, hazards, and volume. The vehicle is priced at P 1,448,888.
