MG unveils GO! hatchback and Cyber SUV concepts at Goodwood Festival 2026
MG Motor presented two electric concept cars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 9‑12 2026). The MG GO! concept previewed a compact B‑segment electric hatchback that the company plans to launch in 2027 as the MG 2, targeting markets such as the Renault 5 and electric Mini. The model is designed by the MG Design Centre in London under design director Carl Gotham (Jozef Kaban) and is expected to be priced below £20,000 (about RM115,000).
The MG Cyber concept illustrated MG’s vision for a larger D‑segment performance electric SUV. Inspired by the historic EX181 record car, the concept signals a future flagship SUV that will combine high‑performance electric power with everyday practicality. Both concepts demonstrate MG’s upcoming design language and its strategy to broaden its electric vehicle lineup.
These unveilings underscore MG’s move from a heritage sport‑car brand to a producer of affordable, stylish electric vehicles aimed at European customers.
