MG4 Urban electric hatch launched in Brazil with multiple trims

MG Motor has begun sales of the MG4 Urban, a fully electric hatchback, in Brazil. The model is offered in three trims – Comfort (43 kWh battery), Luxury (43 kWh) and Luxury (54 kWh) – with prices ranging from R$ 129,990 to R$ 149,990. Inmetro‑certified driving ranges are 299 km for the 43 kWh versions and 358 km for the 54 kWh version. All variants feature a front‑mount electric motor delivering 150‑160 hp, front‑wheel drive, a digital 10.25‑inch instrument cluster and a 12.8‑inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 360° camera and induction smartphone charging. Safety equipment includes ABS, ESP, seven airbags and a suite of driver‑assist systems. The battery is covered by an eight‑year warranty, while the vehicle has a seven‑year warranty. Rapid DC charging up to 87 kW can refill the battery from 10 % to 80 % in about 30 minutes. The MG4 measures 4.39 m in length, 1.82 m in width, 1.54 m in height with a 2.75 m wheelbase and a 479‑litre trunk. MG Motor also promised domestic production of the MG4 Urban and the MGS5 in Ceará by the end of the year.
