MGI Engineering unveils TigerShark high-speed strike drone

MGI Engineering, a British firm with roots in Formula 1 and motorsports, has unveiled the TigerShark, a low-cost, single-use strike drone designed to function as an intermediate-range cruise missile. The system is capable of carrying a 300-kilogram payload and reaching speeds of up to 466 mph (750 km/h) with a range of 900 kilometers.

To counter electronic warfare, the TigerShark utilizes inertial navigation, allowing it to reach targets even in environments where GPS is jammed or unavailable. The drone is launched from ground vehicles using rocket-assisted propulsion before its twin turbojet engines take over. MGI aims to market the system to strategic allies as a more affordable alternative to traditional cruise missiles like the Tomahawk.
