MGID appoints Gaurav Ahuja as Executive Director

MGID has appointed Gaurav Ahuja as Executive Director. Ahuja joins the global advertising technology platform from VDO.AI, bringing a background in publisher sales, native advertising, and digital partnerships. His appointment coincides with a leadership transition at MGID India, as CEO and Director Pankaj Sharma is scheduled to step down by the end of November after leading the country's business for over seven years.

Separately, Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Prasar Bharati, addressed the challenges facing media organizations in the digital era. Speaking in Mumbai, Dwivedi noted that the primary challenge is delivering accurate news succinctly and in modern formats to accommodate audiences with limited time. He emphasized the need for media to adapt content delivery methods to remain effective in a landscape of content abundance.
