MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg defeat Kirchheim Knights in BBL-Pokal

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg secured a decisive 98:73 victory over the Kirchheim Knights in the BBL-Pokal. Despite the Knights' efforts to mount a comeback in the second quarter and through the support of the home crowd at the Göppinger Arena, the Bundesliga favorites maintained control.

Ludwigsburg utilized strong scoring runs, including a 9:0 streak at the start of the game and another following the halftime break, to extend their lead. Desmond Watson led the scoring for the Knights with 30 points, but the depth of the Ludwigsburg roster proved too much, as every player on the winning team managed to score.

With this win, the MHP Riesen advance to the round of 16, where they are scheduled to face Rasta Vechta on October 17 or 18. The Kirchheim Knights are eliminated from the cup competition.
