Mi Hazánk leader alleges 4 billion forint corruption in state event procurement

László Toroczkai, leader of the Mi Hazánk party, has raised allegations of a 4 billion forint corruption scandal regarding the organization of state events on August 20. Toroczkai claims that the public procurement process may have been predetermined, citing reports that the winning company, Hardrock Kft., allegedly began preparations before the government had even terminated previous contracts.

Toroczkai expressed significant concern regarding the handling of the complaint. He criticized the Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office for transferring the case to the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK), arguing that such a move could lead to the investigation being stalled or eventually dismissed. In response, he has formally requested that Anna Róza Unger, head of the National Asset Recovery and Protection Office (NVVH), take over the investigation to ensure accountability.
