Mia Dimšić releases new version of Slavonian classic Andrija Čordaš

Singer Mia Dimšić has released a new version of the Slavonian classic “Andrija Čordaš” as part of her latest album, “Negdje u ravnici”. The track is a duet with the song’s original author, Mario Vestić.

Originally released in 2003 by Stanko Šarić, the song has become a staple of the tamburaš tradition. While Vestić previously maintained that the character was a fictional representation of a specific lifestyle, he recently clarified that the song was inspired by a real person named Andrija Filipović, whom he encountered as a child in Privlaca.

A new music video for the track was filmed in Županja, directed by Boris Sekulić. The video features Vinkovci actor Ivan Ćaćić in the lead role.
