Mia Julia denounces right-wing extremism during festival performance

Singer Mia Julia interrupted her performance at the ‘Glücksgefühle’ festival in Hockenheim to speak out against right-wing extremism. Addressing a crowd of approximately 250,000 people, she revealed that she has been facing threats from neo-Nazis for about ten years.

She recounted an incident from 2017 during a performance in Mallorca, where she observed approximately 25 members of the Hammerskins attempting to disrupt her show with chants such as ‘Ausländer raus’ (foreigners out) and by waving imperial flags. Mia Julia disclosed that she has received death threats and threats of sexual violence as a result of her stance against these groups.
