MİA Teknoloji joins EU Horizon Europe MARSEC maritime security project

MİA Technology announced it will participate as a consortium partner in the MARSEC project, funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. The project, coordinated by the Spanish research centre IDENER and involving ten organisations including Airbus, aims to strengthen EU maritime border and coastal security using artificial‑intelligence‑driven autonomous surveillance platforms, thermal imaging, unmanned aerial vehicles, data‑fusion and decision‑support tools.

The 36‑month effort runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2029. The European Research Executive Agency is finalising the grant contract, with a total maximum EU grant of €3.28 million, of which MİA Technology will receive up to €196 000. The company will lead the “Data Management, Collection and Preparation” work package and will also contribute secure data‑communication infrastructure, storage, sharing architecture, data‑security and system‑integration activities.
