Mia Uyanık loses 50kg while working as a mechanic in Ankara

Mia Uyanık, a mechanic working in the Etimesgut automotive industrial site in Ankara, has lost 50 kilograms over the past year. Having weighed 120 kilograms a year ago, she now weighs 70 kilograms.

Uyanık, who has worked in the industrial site for five years, transitioned through various roles including exhaust specialist and tire technician before becoming a mechanical master. She attributes her weight loss to the physically demanding nature of the job, which involves constant movement and physical labor.

In addition to her physical transformation, Uyanık noted the challenges of working in a male-dominated field. She stated that she is working to break prejudices, as people are often unaccustomed to seeing female masters in the automotive industry.
