Mia X discusses No Limit legacy and Cash Money relationship

Rapper Mia X has addressed the long-standing perception of a rivalry between New Orleans hip-hop labels No Limit and Cash Money Records. In recent interviews, she clarified that the tension was largely fueled by fans rather than the artists themselves. Mia X noted she has maintained a close friendship with Cash Money’s Slim since 1993 and credited Cash Money co-founder Birdman for ensuring her proper compensation during a Verzuz battle.

Reflecting on her career, Mia X shared advice for current female rappers, emphasizing the need to treat the music industry as a business and to separate professional decisions from personal pleasure. She also discussed her history with Master P, noting that her connection to the No Limit family began in 1994 after being recommended by C-Murder.

These comments come ahead of a reunion show scheduled for November 15 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, where artists from the 1990s and early 2000s hip-hop era will perform.
