MIAA volleyball conference play begins with ranked matchups

NCAA Division II volleyball MIAA conference play Washburn Ichabods Fort Hays State Tigers

The MIAA volleyball conference play begins this week with several nationally ranked teams facing off.

Fort Hays State (10-3) is scheduled to host seventh-ranked Nebraska Kearney on Wednesday, September 16, in Hays, Kansas. Following that matchup, Fort Hays State will travel to Topeka to face No. 13 Washburn (10-2) on Friday, September 18.

Washburn, which entered the season tied for the top spot in the MIAA preseason coaches poll, will host both Fort Hays State and Nebraska Kearney as part of its home stand. The Ichabods are coming off a 24th consecutive winning season and currently hold a 6-2 record at home in Lee Arena.
