MİAD Malatya focuses on economic recovery and investment

The Malatyalı İş İnsanları Derneği (MİAD) Malatya branch has emphasized the importance of unity and investment to support the city's economic recovery following the February 6 earthquakes. During the branch's first board meeting, President Rıdvan Budak stated that the association aims to foster solidarity and invite businesspeople living outside the region to return and invest in Malatya.

Budak highlighted that while the city is beginning to recover and a new market structure is emerging, civil society organizations must work alongside the state to drive social, cultural, and economic development. The association plans to focus on projects that contribute to the city's reconstruction and long-term growth.

In a related development, Mahmut Boyraz, a candidate for the Presidency of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO), visited the MİAD Malatya branch. During the visit, discussions focused on leveraging Malatya's potential in gastronomy and tourism to diversify the local economy beyond its traditional apricot production.
