Miami and Chicago host celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 through October 15, is being marked by various cultural celebrations in Miami and Chicago.

In Miami, festivities include musical and dance performances at the Arsht Center and the Dale! NMB event at North Shore Park & Youth Center. The 12th annual Miami Beach Salsa Fest is scheduled for October 11 at the Miami Beach Bandshell, featuring live salsa and social dancing.

Chicago is hosting several events, including El Grito in Grant Park and the 55th annual Mexican Independence Day Parade in Little Village. Local sports organizations are also participating, such as the Chicago Fire at Soldier Field and the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, which will offer limited-edition heritage jerseys to support non-profit initiatives.
