Miami Art Week 2026 features major exhibitions and fairs
Miami Art Week 2026 will feature a diverse array of contemporary art exhibitions, fairs, and immersive installations across various districts, including the Design District and Miami Beach.
A major highlight is the ‘Basquiat: Hidden World’ exhibition at ICA Miami Expansion Space, running from November 29, 2026, to February 15, 2027. Curated by Dieter Buchhart and Anna Karina Hofbauer, the show will use ultraviolet lighting to reveal hidden drawings and inscriptions in three previously unseen paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat, including the monumental ‘Emblem (1984)’.
In the fair sector, Art Miami returns for its 36th edition from December 1–6 at One Herald Plaza, showcasing over 140 galleries from 25 countries. The event will present the Art Miami Lifetime Visionary Award to artist Shepard Fairey, who is also scheduled to perform a DJ set during the opening night. The connected fair, CONTEXT, will focus on emerging and mid-career artists with over 50 international galleries.
Additionally, Aqua Art Miami will celebrate its 20th anniversary from December 2–6 at the Aqua Hotel in Miami Beach, focusing on emerging talent. Other cultural expansions include the restaurant The Joyce in Miami Beach, which is adding works by Pablo Picasso and Willem de Kooning to its collection.
