Miami-Dade woman arrested for throwing human waste at neighbor

Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera, a 50-year-old woman, was arrested in Miami-Dade County following an incident in which she allegedly threw a bucket of human waste at her neighbor. The confrontation occurred on September 7, 2026, at the Royal Country mobile home community in northwest Miami-Dade.

According to police reports, Machado Rivera confronted the neighbor regarding an alleged extramarital affair with her husband. Investigators claim she forced her way into the victim's residence and emptied the bucket on her. A witness reportedly corroborated the account, stating that Machado Rivera admitted to defecating in the bucket specifically to throw it at the victim.

Machado Rivera has offered a different account to authorities, claiming she was merely attempting to dispose of waste because her toilet was broken and that the dispute was actually about the smell. She also alleged that the neighbor struck her with a bat during the altercation. She faces charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor battery and remains in custody following a request from prosecutors during a bond hearing presided over by Judge Mindy Glazer.
