Miami Dolphins adjust defensive safety rotation
The Miami Dolphins are adjusting their roster and defensive schemes following an 0-3 start to the season. Head coach Jeff Hafley has implemented changes to the defensive secondary, specifically regarding the safety rotation.
During the Week 3 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team moved away from a three-safety rotation. Instead, Dante Trader Jr. and Michael Taaffe played the majority of the snaps together to improve communication. Zayne Anderson, who previously started at safety, was utilized primarily on special teams, while Julius Wood played nine snaps in a nickel/corner role.
