Miami Dolphins claim guard Christian Haynes off waivers

The Miami Dolphins have claimed guard Christian Haynes off waivers following his release by the Seattle Seahawks. Haynes, a former third-round pick (81st overall) out of UConn in the 2024 NFL Draft, was waived by Seattle after the team acquired All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts.

During his tenure with the Seahawks, Haynes served primarily as a backup and rotational player before starting five games at right guard this season due to injuries to Anthony Bradford. Despite mixed performances, Pro Football Focus ranked his recent work 44th among qualified guards. His rookie contract remains in effect through 2027.
