Miami Dolphins claim running back Kaytron Allen off waivers

The Miami Dolphins have claimed running back Kaytron Allen off waivers from the Washington Commanders. Allen, a 2026 sixth-round pick, joins the roster following the Commanders' addition of veteran Austin Ekeler. During his time with Washington, Allen appeared in four games, recording 41 rushing yards and contributing to special teams.

Ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Dolphins face significant challenges. The team currently holds an 0-4 record. Quarterback Malik Willis has struggled through the first four games, facing high pressure due to an offensive line that ranks poorly in pass block efficiency. Willis currently holds one of the lowest completion rates in the league, despite maintaining a high average depth of target and a league-leading scramble rate.
