Miami Dolphins finalize 53-man roster following rookie release

The Miami Dolphins have finalized their initial 53-man roster, making several significant moves to address depth concerns. Following a league-high 13 selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, the team released rookie edge Max Llewellyn after a training camp that failed to meet expectations.

Other roster changes included the release of Clelin Ferrell and A. J. Green III, and the waiving of Ethan Bonner, Marques Cox, AJ Henning, and Josh Priebe. Tight end Ben Sims was waived/injured. To bolster the roster, the Dolphins added seven players via the waiver wire.

General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan addressed the media regarding recent decisions, including the release of Tyrel Dodson and the trade of Quinn Ewers. Sullivan noted that decisions involve complex layers, including financial components and performance-based requirements, stating that the team and Ewers both required a fresh start.
