Miami Dolphins place De'Von Achane on injured reserve

The Miami Dolphins have placed running back De'Von Achane on injured reserve after he suffered a torn ACL during a 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury will sideline Achane for the remainder of the 2026 season.

In response to the loss, head coach Jeff Hafley indicated that multiple players will take on specific roles within the running back unit. To address roster vacancies, the Dolphins waived defensive tackle Keith Cooper Jr. and released edge defender Clelin Ferrell and defensive lineman Jordan Miller from the practice squad.

Following these moves, the Dolphins have only two running backs on their 53-man roster. The team is expected to promote a player from the practice squad, with Jarquez Hunter or Carlos Washington Jr. being the likely candidates to fill the opening.
