Miami Dolphins running back room depleted by injuries
The Miami Dolphins are facing significant depth issues in their running back room following injuries to key players. Lead running back De'Von Achane suffered a torn ACL during a Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which is expected to sideline him for the remainder of the season.
Jaylen Wright has also been sidelined due to a neck stinger and a foot injury. In their absence, Ollie Gordon II has stepped into a primary role, recording 17 carries for 41 yards and one touchdown during the game against the Chiefs.
Head coach Jeff Hafley indicated that Wright may return to practice in a limited capacity this week. The Dolphins are also evaluating practice squad players Jarquez Hunter and Carlos Washington Jr. as they prepare for their upcoming matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
