Miami Dolphins to start rookie wide receivers Bell and Douglas

The Miami Dolphins are transitioning to a youth-focused wide receiver corps following the departures of former headliners Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Head coach Jeff Hafley has announced that rookies Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas will serve as the team's starting wide receivers.

Both Bell and Douglas were selected in the third round of the recent NFL draft. Bell, a Louisville product, is returning to action after recovering from an ACL injury sustained last November. Despite his injury history, the team indicated he will not be placed on a snap count.

The roster currently features Malik Washington as the primary veteran presence in the receiving group. There is speculation regarding the active status of veteran free agent addition Jalen Tolbert, with some analysts suggesting the team may favor rookie depth and special teams value instead.
