Miami Dolphins training camp highlights Malik Willis development and release of edge rusher Seth Coleman

Slowik emphasized that the focus is on developing Willis as a pocket passer before fully exploiting his athleticism, noting that the quarterback has been "living in the facility" and showing confidence in the pocket.

The Dolphins also announced early roster moves, waiving edge rusher Seth Coleman after a large offseason overhaul. Coleman, an undrafted free‑agent signing who spent the previous season on practice squads, was expected to compete for a depth role but was released early in camp. The team added tight end Jeremiah Franklin and defensive lineman Fatorma Mulbah while placing defensive lineman Rene Konga on injured reserve.
