Pelle Larsson signs four-year, $60 million extension with Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have agreed to a four-year, $60 million contract extension with Swedish guard Pelle Larsson. The deal, which includes a mutual option for the 2030-31 season, is set to begin with the 2027-28 season at an initial salary of approximately $13.5 million.
Larsson, a 25-year-old wing selected 44th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, has become a key rotation player for Miami. Following a breakout sophomore campaign where he averaged 11.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, the extension secures him before he would have reached restricted free agency in 2027.
The move comes as the Heat continue to shape their roster around core players like Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Analysts note the contract provides Miami with financial stability and a tradeable asset, while setting a precedent for similar rookie-scale extensions within the organization.
