Miami Hurricanes advance through preseason fall camp
The Miami Hurricanes are progressing through their preseason fall camp in Coral Gables, focusing on defensive line development and competition within the receiving corps.
On the defensive line, players such as Armondo Blount, Marquise Lightfoot, and Justin Scott are working to maintain the standards set by former players Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor. Defensive lineman Damon Wilson II is working to fill the production gap left by those predecessors, emphasizing leadership and improved communication.
Offensively, while Malachi Toney and Cooper Barakate are established as the top two wide receivers, a competition has emerged for the No. 3 position between Joshua Moore and Daylyn Upshaw. The team continues its preparations ahead of its season opener against Stanford on September 4.
