Miami Hurricanes dismiss wide receiver Cam Vaughn

Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal has announced the dismissal of wide receiver Cam Vaughn from the football program. The decision was confirmed by Cristobal during a radio appearance on The Joe Rose Show.

While various rumors circulated suggesting Vaughn had voluntarily left the team due to frustration with his playing time or a recent arrest in Georgia, insiders indicate the departure was a formal dismissal. According to Hurricanes insider Danny Hernandez, the move was a result of a “failure to uphold team standards” rather than a voluntary exit.

Vaughn previously played for West Virginia University before transferring to Miami in December. Reports regarding his tenure at West Virginia noted concerns regarding his attitude and effort levels.
