Miami Hurricanes offense surges behind Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney

The Miami Hurricanes' offense has seen a significant surge in performance led by transfer quarterback Darian Mensah and rookie wide receiver Malachi Toney. In a season opener against Stanford, Mensah completed 27 of 30 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns. Toney contributed 233 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 12 catches.

In a subsequent 33-20 victory over Wake Forest, Mensah maintained high efficiency by completing 20 of 20 passes in the first half. Despite a second-half lull where the offense struggled to maintain momentum, Mensah characterized the performance issues as mental and correctable, emphasizing the need for consistent physical dominance and execution.
