Miami Hurricanes to host Central Michigan Chippewas

The No. 6 ranked Miami Hurricanes are scheduled to host the Central Michigan Chippewas at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The matchup serves as the final nonconference game for Central Michigan, which enters the contest with a 2-1 record following recent wins over Colgate and Wyoming.

While Miami holds an undefeated 3-0 record, the Hurricanes are managing several significant injuries. Key offensive players including wide receiver Malachi Toney and running back Mark Fletcher Jr. are concerns, alongside season-ending injuries to Marty Brown and Joshua Moore.

Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall praised the Hurricanes' culture and coaching, describing them as a professional-level organization. Despite the talent gap, the Chippewas aim to leverage their recent momentum and disciplined play to attempt an upset against the highly-resourced Miami roster.
