MIBR benches entire VALORANT starting roster

MIBR has moved its entire VALORANT starting five to the inactive roster. The players involved are aspas, zekken, Verno, tex, and mazino. The organization stated the decision follows discussions with player representatives and is intended to allow for a reassessment of the roster in light of significant changes to the competitive structure for 2027, including a regional transition.

The move comes after the team struggled to meet high expectations. Despite a top-six finish at Champions 2025, the roster failed to qualify for any VCT global events during the 2026 season, including missing out on Masters Santiago.

The players will be made available for transfer negotiations. While the move is a complete benching of the starting lineup, it does not necessarily mean the players have been released from their contracts. MIBR has recently been announced as a VCT partnered team heading into 2027.
