Micaela García case: New trial set for Néstor Pavón

The family of Micaela García is preparing for a new judicial proceeding regarding her 2017 femicide. Starting October 29, Néstor Pavón will face a second trial. While Pavón was previously convicted of concealment, he is now being prosecuted as a presumed co-author of the kidnapping, rape, and murder.

Micaela’s father, Néstor García, stated that the family maintains there were two individuals involved in the crime, citing testimonies and evidence of two men seen with his daughter. The family expressed hope for an exemplary sentence to ensure justice is served.
