Micah B. Lacunza arrested for fatal vehicular homicide

Micah B. Lacunza, 39, has been arrested in Seattle for vehicular homicide following a fatal collision in Clallam County. Lacunza had been featured on the Washington State Patrol’s Most Wanted List since August.

The incident occurred on February 15 on U.S. Highway 101 near Palo Alto Road. Investigators determined that Lacunza crossed the centerline while driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, striking a Toyota FJ Cruiser. The collision resulted in the death of Skylor Richford, 40, at the scene. Mathilde Richford, 34, was transported to a medical center for injuries.

Detectives believe Lacunza was impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. After previously evading capture in Tacoma, Lacunza was identified by a citizen who recognized him from a Most Wanted poster and contacted 911. He is expected to be extradited to Clallam County to face the homicide charge and other related offenses.
