Micah Bock appointed to ICE role amid misconduct allegations
Micah Bock has been appointed as deputy chief of staff and assistant director of communications at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The appointment has drawn criticism following the resurgence of sexual misconduct allegations against him, which were originally reported in 2021.
Bock’s recent social media posts regarding “remigration” have also sparked controversy. Critics, including Aaron Reichlin-Melnick of the American Immigration Council, have noted that the term is frequently used by far-right movements in Europe and is associated with the Great Replacement conspiracy theory. Bock has previously held roles for various political figures and within the Department of Homeland Security.
