Micah Parsons may not return to Packers lineup until November
Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons is not expected to return to the field until November as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL suffered late last season. Although previously there was optimism regarding an earlier return, Parsons is currently on the physically unable to perform list and is not expected to participate in practice next week.
During his absence, rookie defensive tackle Chris McClellan has been utilizing Parsons as a mentor. McClellan stated that he has been picking the star pass rusher’s brain regarding rushing techniques and defensive positioning to improve his own play.
The Packers, who acquired Parsons in a major trade, currently hold a 1-2 record, raising questions about the team's playoff contention prospects while their star defender remains sidelined.
