Micah Parsons to miss first four games of 2026 season

Green Bay Packers star pass rusher Micah Parsons is expected to miss the first four games of the 2026 season as he continues his recovery from an ACL tear sustained in 2025. General manager Brian Gutekunst indicated that Parsons is “pretty close” to returning and may be able to participate in practices after Week 2, with a potential return to action around Week 5 or Week 6.

To mitigate his absence, rookie edge defender Dani Dennis-Sutton is identified as a key player who may step up. Dennis-Sutton, a fourth-round pick from Penn State, has shown significant pass-rushing potential in preseason play and is expected to play a larger role in the defensive line rotation during the early part of the season.
