Michał Chrobot appointed director of Poland's Coordinated Care Department
Michał Chrobot, who spent 18 years at the Świętokrzyskie Oncology Center, has been appointed by the Polish Ministry of Health as director of the Department of Coordinated Care. The department is responsible for organising patient treatment, especially in oncology and cardiology, coordinating diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines, developing quality‑assessment indicators, maintaining medical registries and advancing health‑digitisation.
Chrobot holds a doctorate in health sciences from the Warsaw Medical University (2017) and studied finance at the Academy of Economics in Kraków, law at the Catholic University of Lublin and postgraduate management at the University of Warsaw. He began his career in 2001 at the Regional Health Fund in Kielce, later joining the Oncology Center as deputy director for contracting and settlements, and from 2010 to 2025 led the department of contracting, settlements and medical statistics. He succeeds Agnieszka Molenda‑Wiśniewska, who left the post in July 2026.
