Michał Jurecki steps down as sports director of Poland's Industria Kielce

Polish handball champion club Industria Kielce announced that long‑time sports director Michał Jurecki will leave his post. The club said the decision follows an analysis by the board, management and owners and is intended “to create better conditions for the successful implementation of the goals set for the near future.” While one statement notes an immediate termination, the Polish club’s notice also mentions that Jurecki’s contract runs until 31 August 2026.

Jurecki, a former Polish national‑team star, retired from playing in 2023 and immediately assumed the sports director role at the club where he spent the most successful years of his career, winning multiple Polish championships and the 2016 EHF Champions League. The club has not yet named a successor and said it will announce a replacement in due course.
