Michał Karbownik signs three‑year deal with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir
Polish international defender Michał Karbownik has ended his three‑year spell at Hertha Berlin after his contract expired in June 2026. He declined the German club’s offer to renew and moved to Turkey, joining Istanbul Basaksehir on a three‑year contract.
Basaksehir, which finished fifth in the Turkish Super Lig last season and will compete in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, announced the signing on 22 June. The 25‑year‑old will make his debut in the Turkish top flight, adding to his experience in the Polish, Greek, English and German leagues.
