Raków Częstochowa faces crisis amid five straight losses

Raków Częstochowa is facing a severe sporting crisis in the 2026/27 PKO Ekstraklasa season, recording five consecutive losses to start the campaign. This marks the club's worst start to a season since 2001. Following their exit from the Conference League qualifiers against Hajduk Split and the dismissal of coach Dawid Kroczek, the team currently sits at the bottom of the league table.

In an effort to stabilize the squad, the club is nearing a deal to sign 21-year-old Swedish defender Nils Zätterström on loan from Sheffield United. The center-back, who has previously spent time at Malmö and on loan at Genoa, is already in Poland and is expected to be presented as a new player shortly.
