Michael Dell fulfills $6.25 billion pledge for children's investment accounts
Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies, has confirmed the fulfillment of a $6.25 billion pledge to fund investment accounts for 25 million American children. The initiative, known as ‘Trump Accounts,’ is a joint effort between the Dells and the federal government to provide financial foundations for children born between 2025 and 2028. While the federal government provides an initial $1,000 contribution, the Dells are adding $250 per child. As of early October 2026, Michael Dell reported that 10 million accounts had been funded, with the remaining 15 million expected to clear by the end of the week.
The announcement, made during a White House visit alongside President Donald Trump, drew significant social media attention. While the primary focus was the philanthropic program designed to help children eventually become entrepreneurs, doctors, or engineers, much of the online discourse shifted toward the appearance of Susan Dell. Following her appearance in the Oval Office, various social media users engaged in speculation regarding her facial expressions and potential cosmetic procedures, with some even circulating unfounded conspiracy theories. Michael Dell has defended his wife against online criticism.
