Michael Carrick lacks trophy-winning 'stardust', says Jamie Carragher

Pundit Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United manager Michael Carrick lacks the ‘stardust’ required to win major trophies such as the Premier League or the Champions League.

Carrick, who transitioned from an interim role to a permanent position after succeeding Ruben Amorim, recently guided the club to a third-place finish, securing Champions League qualification. While Carragher credited Carrick with stabilizing the club and moving it away from recent instability, he suggested that Carrick's success might instead serve to position the club to hire a top-tier manager capable of winning major titles.

To bolster the squad, Manchester United has signed Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos for the midfield this summer. However, the club missed out on several targets, including Mateus Fernandes, who joined Tottenham Hotspur for £85 million.
