Michael Chiklis expresses interest in reprising Fantastic Four role

Michael Chiklis has expressed his willingness to reprise the role of Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing, should Marvel Studios offer him the opportunity. The actor previously portrayed the character in the 2005 ‘Fantastic Four’ and its 2007 sequel, ‘Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’.

Chiklis indicated his openness to returning in a recent Instagram video, noting his affection for the role. This sentiment aligns with comments made at New York Comic Con in October 2025, where he and Ioan Gruffudd suggested they would be open to appearing in ‘Secret Wars’. While Ebon Moss-Bachrach has been cast as Ben Grimm in the upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, Chiklis remains interested in participating in the Multiverse Saga if the project aligns with his interests.
