Michael Clarke names Kuldeep Yadav best all-format spinner

Former Australian captain Michael Clarke has named Indian left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav as the best all-format spinner in the world. Speaking on the Beyond23 Podcast, Clarke highlighted Yadav's proficiency in short-form cricket but expressed concern that the 31-year-old is not receiving sufficient opportunities from Indian selectors.

Yadav has maintained strong statistical performance, recording 369 wickets at an average of under 23 across 194 international matches, including nine five-wicket hauls. Despite his contributions to India's T20 World Cup victories in 2024 and 2026, he has faced inconsistent selection across Test, ODI, and T20I formats.

Yadav previously noted the frustration of being included in squads, such as during India's tour of England, without being selected for the playing XI. Clarke suggested that while opportunities have been limited, he expects Yadav to feature in upcoming matches against Australia.
