Michael Dell has released a humorous, AI-generated video on X that parodies the company’s iconic ‘Dude, you’re getting a Dell’ advertising campaign from the early 2000s. In the clip, a character resembling the original actor opens a garage door to find a massive AI server rack being lowered into a yard by a crane, rather than a traditional desktop PC.

The video serves as a symbolic representation of Dell’s strategic pivot from consumer personal computers toward high-performance AI infrastructure for data centers. This shift is reflected in recent financial performance, where Dell’s AI-optimized server revenue reached $16.1 billion last quarter, significantly outpacing the $14.6 billion generated by its entire PC division.
