Michael Douglas discusses marriage and life in new memoir

Actor Michael Douglas has shared insights into his marriage with Catherine Zeta-Jones in his new memoir, ‘One Helluva Ride’. He revealed that the couple decided to live apart temporarily in 2013 to gain perspective on their relationship. Douglas noted that this period of distance allowed them to reflect on their connection and realize the importance of one another, ultimately strengthening their bond after they reunited a year later.

The memoir also covers various personal and professional challenges, including Douglas’s battle with cancer and the impact of health struggles on their relationship. Additionally, the book addresses past romantic entanglements, such as his relationship with co-star Kathleen Turner during the filming of ‘Romancing the Stone’.

In response to the book’s release, Catherine Zeta-Jones joked during an appearance on NBC’s ‘Today’ that while she loves her husband, her busy filming schedule for the series ‘Wednesday’ leaves her with little energy to read about his life at night.
