Michael Douglas Honored as Mallorca Ambassador, Daughter Carys Joins Him

Actor Michael Douglas was presented with the "Ambassador of Terra d'Honor" award in recognition of his long‑standing promotion of Mallorca on the international stage. The ceremony took place in Valldemossa, Mallorca, where Douglas has owned a villa and vineyards since 1989.

His 23‑year‑old daughter, Carys Zeta‑Douglas, attended the event, speaking Spanish fluently and drawing media attention for her striking resemblance to her mother, actress Catherine Zeta‑Jones. A Brown University graduate in film and international relations, Carys recently made her New York stage debut as Nina in a production of Chekhov's "The Seagull" at St. Lydia's Theatre in Brooklyn.
